Your Path to Wellness: A Personalized Approach

Restoring Comfort and Intimacy

Pelvic floor dysfunction can affect intimate aspects of your life. Our program is designed to help restore comfort and confidence, addressing issues like pain during intercourse in a supportive and private setting.

A Non-Surgical, Drug-Free Solution

Pelvic Floor Assessment and Treatment is a highly effective, first-line treatment for many pelvic floor disorders. It offers a powerful alternative to surgery and medication, focusing on healing your body naturally.

What is Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation?

The pelvic floor is a vital group of muscles and ligaments that act as a supportive hammock for your pelvic organs—the uterus, bladder, and rectum. When these muscles are weakened by life events like childbirth, surgery, injury, or aging, they can lead to a range of challenging symptoms.

Our **Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation Program** is a highly specialized form of Pelvic Floor Assessment and Treatment that is recognized as a first-line treatment for many pelvic health conditions. We focus on personalized, evidence-based techniques to strengthen, relax, and coordinate the pelvic floor. This non-invasive approach is designed to treat the root cause of your symptoms, offering a long-term solution without the risks or side effects of surgery.

Who We Help

If you are a man or woman experiencing any of the following, you are an excellent candidate:

  • Urinary or Fecal Incontinence (leakage when laughing, coughing, or exercising)
  • Chronic Pelvic Pain (non-cyclic pain lasting more than six months)
  • Pelvic Organ Prolapse (a feeling of pressure or bulging)
  • Pain during or after Intercourse (Dyspareunia)
  • Postpartum Recovery (including C-section/tear healing, or Diastasis Recti)
  • Chronic Constipation or Painful Defecation

Our Personalized Approach: Core Benefits of the Program

Sacral Nerve Assessment

We employ the Uroval Bulbocavernosus Reflex System (BRS) to assess potential sacral nerve dysfunction. This technique combines surface electromyography (EMG) with mechanical stimulation to provide an objective measure of the bulbocavernosus reflex. Crucially, this assessment is achieved without the use of electrical stimulation, ensuring a non-painful procedure for the patient.

Pressure Based Muscle and EMG Assessment

Our program utilizes the advanced MyOnyx system, which facilitates a painless, non-invasive technique for the comprehensive evaluation of pelvic floor muscle strength and integrity (damage). Furthermore, the integration of EMG serves a critical biofeedback function, enhancing patient awareness and helping to identify the compensatory recruitment of accessory musculature, such as the abdominal (stomach) muscles, due to underlying pelvic floor weakness.

Electrical Stimulation

We incorporate a specifically designed TENS system utilizing a 200Hz stimulation unit for targeted nerve activation. This specialized device allows us to effectively, painlessly, and non-invasively deliver direct stimulation to the relevant nerves.

Customized Pelvic Floor Exercise Program

Patients are assigned home-based exercises on a weekly basis, individually tailored according to their measured muscle strength. The initial treatment protocol consists of 10 to 12 sessions, each lasting 20 minutes, with appointments scheduled one week apart.

Is This Program Right for You?

Pelvic floor dysfunction can affect women at any stage of life. You may be a candidate for our program if you experience any of the following common conditions:

  • Frequent urination or urinary urgency/incontinence
  • Chronic pelvic, abdominal, or tailbone pain
  • Pain during or after intercourse
  • Pelvic organ prolapse
  • Chronic constipation or fecal incontinence
  • Diastasis Recti
  • Recovery from childbirth or pelvic surgery

How to Get Started:

Your journey begins with a private, one-on-one evaluation with one of our specialists. We will listen to your history, assess your symptoms, and create an effective Pelvic Floor program just for you.

Key Benefits & Services

Strong, well-coordinated pelvic floor muscles are essential for continence, bowel function, and sexual health. Clinical guidelines recommend pelvic floor muscle training as first-line care for many forms of urinary incontinence and after prostate surgery; biofeedback-based retraining is recommended for defecatory disorders such as dyssynergic defecation.

  • Pelvic Floor Muscle Training (PFMT)—first-line conservative care for many forms of urinary incontinence.
  • Biofeedback to retrain and coordinate muscle activity when indicated.
  • Bladder & bowel training plus self-management (fluid/fiber/urge strategies).
  • Gentle manual Treatment & relaxation for overactive/tight pelvic floor patterns.
  • Postpartum pelvic health support integrated into ongoing postpartum care.
